The Part B of UCEED 2024 will be a 1 hour-long exam. The type of questions asked and the marking scheme are given below.

Part B of UCEED 2024 question paper will consist of TWO questions that will test the drawing skills and design aptitude of the candidate. Both questions will be subjective. The questions in Part B will be displayed on the computer screen, and the answer must be written/drawn in the answer book provided by the invigilator. 

In the case of PwD candidates availing the use of a scribe, assistance in attempting Part B is not permitted, as the question is aimed at evaluating their drawing skill.

The admission officials claim that "Utmost care is taken to prepare an error-free question paper." It also states that in case of any errors detected during the exam - "However, if an error is
detected in the question paper, the UCI Committee shall take an appropriate decision after the examination, which shall be final."

The key points related to the UCEED 2024 question paper are given below.

• There will be ONE question paper of 3 hours duration.
• The paper will be in English
• The total marks for the paper will be 300 marks.
• The question paper will consist of two mandatory parts: Part A and Part B. 

There are a total of 205 seats available for the B.Des program through UCEED 2024. The category-wise reservation of seats is shown in the table below.

The Part A exam for UCEED 2024 will be conducted in a computer-based mode. In case the candidate faces any techinical issues during the exam, he or she may approach  the invigilator for assistance. Exam officials will in such cases take immediate remedial steps, including issue of a different computer terminal.

Further, any time lost due to such techinical issues will be compensated. 

The Part B answer booklets will only be evaluated if the candidate qualifies Part A. Also, only such candidates who qualify Part A will get shortlisted and will be issued a merit rank.

This means if you fail to qualify Part A, you will be out of contention for a seat.

Yes, it is the responsibility of the candidate to bring their own drawing material like pens, pencils, sketch pens and colours for the examination. However, note that drawing sheets are not allowed inside the examination hall.

Yes,  the biometric information (thumb impression and photograph) of the candidate will be verified at the exam center before the candidate is allowed to enter the exam venue. Any candidate who fails the verification process may not be allowed to take the exam.

The identity of the candidates will be verified by invigilators as well as IIT representatives.

The UCEED 2024 exam will be conducted on January 21, 2024 (9 am - 12 noon). On exam day, the candidate should report at the exam center at 7 pm. 

Also, when reporting for the exam, they must bring with them a printout of the Admit Card and a Valid, Original Photo Identity Proof.

The UCEED/CEED 2024 admit card will carry the following information: 

• Name
• UCEED
• Registration ID
• Roll Number for UCEED 2024
• Date of Birth
• Category
• Photograph
• Signature
• Examination schedule
• Examination centre details
• Instructions to candidates.

IIT Bombay will issue admit cards for the UCEED 2024 and CEED 2024 exams on January 5, 2024 (1 pm). Admit cards will be issued only to such candidates who have successfully registered for the exam and paid the application fees.

The admit card will be issued online and has to be downloaded by entering one's candidate details.

In the unlikely scenario wherein a sufficient number of candidates are not available in a listed city, the city would be dropped from the final list. Also, if a candidate had picked a dropped city as their preferred choice, then he or she will be allocated either their second or third preference.

The application fee once paid with not be refuneded to the candidate. Further, the candidate will also not be able to transfer their application fee. 

So, before filling out the form, the candidate must both make sure their eligibility and purpose for appearing in the UCEED 2024 exam.

Candidates may note that once the registration process is over, admission officials will not entertain any requests for a change in the exam centre. So, it is recommended that the candidate takes proper care when selecting an exam city.

When filling out the UCEED 2024 registration/ CEED 2024 registration form, the candidate must compulsorily opt for THREE cities of their choice, in the order of
preference.

The allocation of exam centre will be based on option selected, availability of seats, and address of the candidate.

The full form of UCEED is the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam For Design. The UCEED entrance exam is conducted by IIT Bombay once every year. The scores of UCEED are considered for admission to B.Des courses offered by the five participating colleges that have a combined intake of 205 seats.

Yes, the CEED 2024 exam will also now be conducted in 27 cities (up from 24 cities in the previous edition).

The following cities have been newly added - Coimbatore, Ernakulam, Mysuru. Note that the same cities have also been included in the UCEED 2024 exam list as well.

The candidate can select their choice of exam city when filling out the CEED 2024 application form.

For the current edition of the UCEED, the exam will be conducted in 27 cities; note that in the previous edition, the exam was conducted in 24 cities.

So, THREE new cities have been added for UCEED 2024 - Coimbatore, Ernakulam, Mysuru

Yes, the candidate is allowed to apply for UCEED 2024 exam with a late fee of INR 500. The late fee application window will open after the regular application window closes. 

The late fee application window will be open from Nov 1-8, 2023.

IIT Bombay has released the admission schedule for the two design entrance exams.

The CEED 2024 and UCEED 2024 entrance exams will be conducted on January 21, 2024 (9 am -12 noon). Admit cards for the exam will be available from January 5, 2024 (onward).

The candidate can now download the information brochures from the respective admission portal to get key insights into the exams.

IIT Bombay has also opened the application form for CEED 2024. Note that the application process for CEED and UCEED typically follow the same schedule.

In the previous edition of the UCEED exam, a total of 15, 491 candidates registered for the exam. Out of these, 5,691 were male, 9, 797 were female, and remaining 3 were transgender candidates.

Further, among the registered candidates, a total of 13, 549 candidates appeared in the exam.

IIT Bombay has removed the old information brochure - UCEED 2023 information brochure - from the UCEED 2024 registration portal.

However, it hasn't yet uploaded the UCEED 2024 information brochure.

If you go to the registration portal and click on the brochure link, the following error message appears.

IIT Bombay has increased the UCEED 2024 application fee across all categories; refer to the table below.

The application form for UCEED 2024 will commence on October 3, 2023 (1 pm), as per the information brochure. The last date to submit applications is October 31, 2023 (with regular fees).

The UCEED exam is conducted by IIT Bombay. 

Note that the institute has already launched the admission portal for UCEED 2024 - https://uceedapp.iitb.ac.in/UCEED/home.jsp.

To apply for the exam, you need to go to the portal, and click on the registration tab. Note that the application hasn't started yet.

Note that IIT Bombay also conducts the CEED entrance exam, which is considered for admission to the M.Des program.

Currently, the SEED 2024 and NID DAT 2024 application forms are open. While SEED is for admission to the B.Des program, NID offers both B.Des and M.Des courses.

Also, note that the SEED 2024 exam will be conducted in an online, proctored mode. Meanwhile, NID DAT has two phases. DAT Prelims or Phase 1 will be held tentatively on January 7, 2024.

IIT Bombay doesn’t typically have the option to edit the UCEED 2024 application form. So, it is recommended that the candidate take the necessary precautions when filling out the application form. 

That being said, the candidate must keep following the UCEED 2024 admission portal for any new updates on the application form, including an option to edit the form.

The allotment of exam centres will be based on the exam city selected by the candidate and seat intake of various exam centres in the specific city.

Typically allotment will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.

The details of the exam centre allocated to the candidate, including the name and address, will mentioned in the UCEED 2024 admit card.

The candidate is allowed to select a maximum of THREE exam centers when filling out the application form. The entries must be in the order of priority. For instance, if Delhi is your first choice, you need to pick it as your 1st preference, and so on and so forth.

Note that you can’t select any specific exam center.

The UCEED 2024 exam will be conducted across 24 cities in India. Note that each of these cities may have one or more exam centres.

When filling out the application form, the candidate only needs to select an exam city. The exam center allocated to the candidate will be mentioned on the admit card.

The UCEED 2024 question paper will have two sections or parts - Part A and Part B. Both parts are mandatory. Also, Part B answer booklets will be evaluated only if the candidate qualifies Part A.

The cut-off marks for Part A will be released at the time of declaration of UCEED 2024 results.

There are FIVE participating colleges of UCEED 2024 that offer an intake of 205 seats for the B.Des program. Note that UCEED participating colleges don't offer M.Des courses.

Also, these institutes will offer admission strictly on the basis of UEED 2024 merit. Scores of other entrance exams will not be considered.

When filling out the UCEED 2024 application form, it is recommended that the candidate only uses genuine and verifiable information.

It is because all details entered by the candidate will be verified at the time of the UCEED 2024 counseling and seat allotment process; the candidate will be asked to furnish original documents. Any candidate found using incorrect or misleading information could be disqualifed.

The eligibility criteria for the UCEED 2024 exam will be prescribed by IIT Bombay and cover academic, age, number of attempts, and other such requirements. It is mandatory that the candidate meets the eligibility criteria as otherwise the candidate will be disqualified.

IIT Bombay hasn't released the important dates for the UCEED 2024 exam. It is likely that UCEED 2024 event dates will be released at the time of the release of the application form or sometime thereafter.

The important dates will cover events like application start and last dates, exam dates, issue of admit cards, declaration of results, and counseling dates.

It will contain the following information - registration form, information brochure, candidate portal, resource section, list of participating institutes, and other exam-related information.

Currently, though, the website has limited information. The information brochure link is also inactive.

Application link, meanwhile, is expected to be activated soon.

IIT Bombay has launched the admission portal for UCEED 2024.

The portal contains a link to download the UCEED 2024 Information Brochure. However, if you click on the link, you are redirected to an old brochure - the UCEED 2023 Information Brochure.

So, students are a bit confused. It is apt that IIT Bombay releases the updated brochure as soon as possible to assuage student concerns.

The candidate needs to prepare for the -Part A - UCEED 2024 exam as per the following revised syllabus.

Part A of the CEED 2024 question paper will include three types of questions - NAT, MCQ, and MSQ. Check the section-wise number of questions and marking scheme in the table below.

Yes, IIT Bombay will conduct the UCEED exam as per a revised syllabus.

As per the new syllabus, the UCEED 2024 question paper will continue to have two parts - Part A and Part B. Also, Part A will be conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) mode and will have three sections NAT MSQ, and MCQ). However, Part B will now have TWO sections - 1) the Drawing-based section, and 2) the Design Aptitude Section. 

The application form for UCEED 2024, as well as CEED 2024, will be available in online mode only. There is no option to apply offline. 

In such cases, where the candidate candidate applies offline and submits the application form by post, the admission committee will reject such applications.

The candidate need to meet the following condition to appear in the UCEED 2024 exam:

• Age limit: The candidate must be born on or after October 1, 1999. In the case of candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories, there is a relaxation of 5 years.

• Number of attempts - A candidate is allowed to appear in the UCEED exam a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years.

• Academic requirements - The candidate must have passed the 10+2 exam in 2023. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam in the exam year may also apply. Also, note that students from all streams are eligible for UCEED 2024. 

The UCEED 2024 application fee for female (all categories), SC, ST, and PwD candidates is INR 1,800. All other candidates need to pay INR 3,600. The fee has to be paid online using credit card/ debit card/ internet banking.

The UCEED 2024 application fee is non-refundable, meaning, once the fee is paid, it will not be refunded.

IIT Bombay is likely to conduct the UCEED 2024 exam tentatively in the latter half of January 2024; in the previous edition, the entrance exam was conducted on January 22, 2023.

The exam timings will be around 9 am to 12 noon.

The exact exam date and timings will be known once the admission notification or admission portal is released.

Like UCEED 2024, IIT Bombay has not launched the admission portal for the CEED 2024 exam. 

The admission portal, when launched, will contain the information brochure, eligibility criteria, important dates, resource center, and other key information.

The candidate must download the information brochure to check key updates about the exam, including seat matrix, eligibility criteria, syllabus, exam pattern, registration process, etc.

IIT Bombay has yet to launch the official website for the UCEED 2024 exam.

The website when launched will have all the latest updates about the UG design entrance exam, including the information brochure, eligibility criteria, important dates, resource center, and other key information.

The candidate must visit the admission portal and check or download useful resources for the exam.

The application form for CEED and UCEED exams typically opens at around the same time. So, it is very likely, that UCEED 2024 and CEED 2024 application forms will open at the same time.

That being said, each exam will have its own distinct application and admission portals. 

The candidate needs to go to the respective admission portals to fill in the application form.

The application form for UCEED 2024 hasn't started yet. But as per information shared by candidates and activities observed in the official portal, the application form is expected to commence anytime soon.

The UCEED exam is conducted by IIT Bombay for admission to the B.Des program offered by participating colleges. The UCEED 2024 exam will be conducted around the 4th week of January 2024; the specific exam date will be announced at the time of the launch of the admission portal or thereabouts.
