AICTE Launches 13 Technical Education Books
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) celebrated World Hindi Day by emphasizing the role of Hindi in technical and management education. On this occasion, Prof. Rajive Kumar, Member Secretary of AICTE, unveiled 13 books authored in Hindi under the Financial Assistance Scheme for publishing manuscripts in these fields. The event also featured the authors of these manuscripts, highlighting their contributions to promoting Hindi in academic literature.
The 13 books launched encompass a wide range of topics, including science and technology, environmental studies, painting, art, and policies rooted in Indian values, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This initiative underscores AICTE’s dedication to fostering the use of Indian languages and strengthening cultural identity in education.
In his address, Prof. Rajive Kumar highlighted the significance of making technical and management education more accessible to Hindi-speaking audiences. He commended the groundbreaking initiative of publishing books on these specialized subjects in Hindi, describing it as a milestone in inclusive education. Prof. Kumar also lauded AICTE Chairman, Prof. T.G. Sitharam, for his visionary leadership and efforts to promote linguistic inclusivity in higher education. He emphasised that these books are not only intended for faculty and students but also serve as valuable resources for the general public, helping bridge the language gap in education.
During the event, the authors provided a brief overview of their works and expressed their gratitude to AICTE and the Haryana Granth Academy, Panchkula, for publishing the books. This initiative marks a significant step in empowering Hindi-speaking individuals by offering high-quality educational resources in their native language.
