AICTE ME/MTech and PhD Programmes

To be eligible for admission to the Master's programme under the QIP scheme, applicants must be full-time regular or permanent faculty members at AICTE-approved Polytechnic (Diploma) institutes, possess at least one year of teaching experience at the polytechnic level, and hold a Bachelor's degree in the relevant branch.

For the PhD programme in Engineering/Management, applicants must be full-time regular or permanent faculty members at AICTE-approved degree or diploma-level institutes, have at least three years of teaching experience at the graduate level, and hold a Master's degree in the relevant branch.

Under the QIP, only sponsored teachers are eligible for admission to both Master's and Doctoral programs. The goal is to enable these teachers to acquire advanced degrees and foster a culture of research and improved educational capabilities by exposing them to the enriching environment of their institutes of study.

During the launch, Prof. Sitharam highlighted that one of the primary objectives of the program is to enhance the expertise and capabilities of faculty members at degree and diploma-level institutions across the country. He emphasised that the program is implemented and monitored by AICTE and aims to equip faculty members with the necessary knowledge and skills to teach effectively.
