AICTE to start Faculty Development Programme on AI and Data Science at Jio Institute
This initiative falls under the purview of AICTE’s ATAL (AICTE Training and Learning) initiative.
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has commenced its Faculty Development Programme focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science in collaboration with Jio Institute.
This initiative falls under the purview of AICTE’s ATAL (AICTE Training and Learning) initiative. This training programme will empower and equip a select group of 40 faculty members from AICTE-approved institutions with skills and knowledge on AI and DS.
Jio Institute will facilitate a transformative five-day training initiative. Leveraging its world-class faculty, the institute will offer comprehensive insights into AI and Data Science, with a keen focus on the ethical implications of using AI tools in immersive learning contexts.
AICTE Chairman, Prof. T.G Sitharam underscored the importance of adapting to the times, praising the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 for introducing flexibility into the curriculum. “NEP 2020 has brought a lot of flexibility to the curriculum. Curriculum upgradation has to happen fast, because technology is changing fast, industry needs are changing fast, and we have to understand their needs and integrate new-age pedagogies to teaching-learning practices and the curriculum,” he remarked.
Furthermore, he emphasized the vital role of upskilling educators to keep pace with the rapid technological advancements that surround us.”
