All Eyes on IIT Bombay: Top 10 JEE Advanced 2024 Rankers Set Sights on CSE Course

Like every year, the top 10 candidates in the JEE Advanced 2024 exam are aiming for the coveted spot at IIT Bombay, particularly in its esteemed BTech Computer Science Engineering program.

The JEE Advanced 2024 results, announced on June 9, revealed a common aspiration among the top 10 achievers: securing a spot in IIT Bombay's Computer Science Engineering (CSE) program. This consistent trend contributes to the consistently high cutoff for admission to this program. Typically, the closing rank for admission to IIT Bombay's CSE program falls within the range of 60 to 67. In recent years, the closing ranks were 67 in 2023, 60 in 2022, 67 in 2021, and 60 in 2020.

Ved Lahoti, securing the first rank, and Rhythm Kedia, securing the fourth rank in JEE Advanced 2024, have both expressed their keen interest in pursuing Computer Science Engineering at IIT Bombay.

Aditya ranked second in JEE Advanced 2024, aims to pursue Computer Science at either IIT Bombay or IIT Delhi.

Bhogalapalli Sandesh, securing the third rank, is determined to secure admission to the Computer Science and Engineering program at IIT Bombay.

Rajdeep Mishra, ranked sixth, aspires to pursue Computer Science Engineering at IIT Bombay.

Koduru Tejeswar, securing the eighth rank, also wishes to pursue Computer Science Engineering at IIT Bombay.

Dhruvin Hemant Doshi, ranked ninth, shares the ambition of studying Computer Science at IIT Bombay.

Why is IIT Bombay’s CSE course most loved among the toppers?

Despite IIT Madras consistently leading in NIRF rankings, IIT Bombay often takes precedence as the top choice for JEE Advanced toppers. Admissions for IITs are currently open, and seats across all IITs will be allocated based on the JEE Advanced 2024 All India Rank (AIR) through the JoSAA 2024 counselling process. Registration for JoSAA 2024 is ongoing and will conclude on June 18. The seat allocation result for round 1 of JoSAA will be announced on June 20.
