Boys dominate JEE Main 2023 toppers’ list as 20 students score perfect 100

All candidates who got a perfect 100 are male. Meesala Pranathi Sreeja secured the highest NTA score (99.997259). 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the JEE Main Result Session 1 2023. Students who appeared for the JEE Mains 2023 exam can now check their JEE Main result 2023 session 1 on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The NTA has released the full list of toppers in which 20 students have attained the perfect 100 NTA score. All candidates who got a perfect 100 are male. Meesala Pranathi Sreeja secured the highest NTA score (99.997259). 

The NTA has withheld the scores of about 50 JEE Main candidates who appeared in JEE Main Session 1 as they are under scrutiny. The cases of these candidates are being placed before a committee separately, the agency said and added that the NTA scores of these candidates will be declared once the panel finalises its report.  

The official statement issued by the NTA reads, “NTA Scores are normalized scores across multi-session papers and are based on the relative performance of all those who appeared for the examination in one session. The marks obtained are converted into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of examinees". 

According to the NTA, of the 8.6 lakh applicants for JEE Main Paper 1, a total of 8.22 lakh candidates appeared for the exam which is 95.79 per cent attendance. The NTA states that this is the highest attendance for JEE Main Paper 1 ever since the NTA began conducting the exams. 

The NTA will start the registration process for JEE Main 2023 Session 2 today (February 7, 2023). Interested candidates can apply for the JEE Main 2023 Session 2 on the official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Main application form 2023 last date is March 7. JEE Main Session 2 is scheduled to be conducted in April 2023. JEE Main 2023 exam dates for Session 2 are April 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.   

JEE Main registration fee increases 

The process of submitting the JEE Mains 2023 registration form includes completing the registration, filling in the application form, uploading the necessary documents, and making the application fee payment. JEE Main 2023 registration fee has been raised. Male candidates of General/Gen-EWS/OBC (NCL) now have to pay INR 1000 while application fees for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender and Female candidates is INR 500 now.
