Dharmendra Pradhan to release NIRF Rankings 2022 on July 15
India Rankings 2022 is being released in 11 categories/ subject domains with increased participation of a record number of 7254 institutions.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will release the India Rankings 2022 also known as the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings this week. Pradhan will release Rankings for the year 2022 in 11 categories.
As per the Ministry of Education, Education Minister will be releasing NIRF Rankings 2022 on July 15, virtually. India Rankings 2022 is being released in 11 categories/ subject domains with increased participation of a record number of 7254 institutions.
The annual exercise outlines a methodology to rank Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across India in various categories & subject domains. The 11 categories are - Overall, Universities, Engineering, Management, Colleges, Pharmacy, Medical, Architecture, Dental, Law and Research.
For the past three years, the NIRF Rankings have been getting delayed due to COVID-19 Pandemic. In 2021, the NIRF Rankings were released on September 9. Last year Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras was ranked number one in the Overall category as well as in Engineering. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) was ranked as the top university in the country, while in the management category, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad was ranked first, AIIMS Delhi was ranked first in the medical category in the NIRF Rankings 2021.
The parameters broadly cover “Teaching, Learning and Resources,” “Research and Professional Practices,” “Graduation Outcomes,” “Outreach and Inclusivity,” and “Perception”.
