GATE 2025 Exam Dates Announced; IIT Roorkee to Hold Exam on February 1, 2, 15 and 16

GATE 2025 Exam Dates Announced; IIT Roorkee to Hold Exam on February 1, 2, 15 and 16

IIT Roorkee has announced the GATE 2025 exam date on the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in. GATE 2025 will be held on February 1, 2, 15 and 16. IIT Roorkee will activate the portal for GATE 2025 application most likely by the end of August 2024. GATE 2025 will consist of 30 computer-based test (CBT) papers, all conducted exclusively in English.

Additionally, candidates will have the flexibility to choose either one or two test papers from the available combinations. The scores achieved in GATE 2025 will remain valid for three years from the date of the result announcement, as specified in the press release.

Successful candidates will have opportunities to pursue Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in fields such as Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, and Humanities, potentially receiving financial assistance. They may also apply for doctoral programs in relevant disciplines across institutions supported by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and other Government agencies.

Some colleges and institutions also use GATE scores for admission to postgraduate programs without MoE scholarships. For more details, candidates can visit the official website of GATE 2025, gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The official website was launched on June 29, 2024.

GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) 2025 is a national-level examination administered by IIT Roorkee in collaboration with IISc Bengaluru and seven other IITs (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee). It assesses a comprehensive understanding of undergraduate subjects in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, and Humanities. GATE 2025 will be conducted as a computer-based test (CBT) under the supervision of the National Coordination Board - GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.
