IGNOU Introduces One-Year Diploma in Agricultural Cost Management
IGNOU DACM: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) School of Agriculture has announced the launch of a new course, the Diploma in Agricultural Cost Management (DACM), for the upcoming academic session. Developed in collaboration with the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI), this program aims to equip students with specialised knowledge in agricultural cost management.
The DACM curriculum covers a range of essential topics, including farm accounting and costing, accounting and cost management, agricultural supply chain management, optimal land use, water management, and other agricultural activities crucial for industry development.
About IGNOU DACM
The Diploma in Agricultural Cost Management (DACM) course is set to be a one-year course. The course will be conducted in English, and students will not have the option to choose any other language. The syllabus of this course will include agricultural cost management and effective ways to bring development to the agricultural industry.
The program covers a range of topics including effective farm cost management, strategies to increase agricultural productivity, making informed decisions on crop cultivation and livestock rearing, financial planning, efficient resource allocation, marketing, and risk management.
IGNOU ODL Program
This course, affiliated with the School of Agriculture, will be conducted online. As a distance learning program, candidates can complete it from the comfort of their homes. The program coordinator for this diploma course is Professor Praveen Kumar Jain. The course fee for this program is INR 6200. They will also have to pay the registration fee and development fee during the time of admission.
