IIIT Delhi launches BTech in electronics, VLSI engineering

Admission to the course will be done through Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi and through IIITD admission process using Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) rank.

Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Delhi has launched a new BTech programme in electronics and VLSI engineering (EVE). The objective of the programme is to prepare students to undertake careers involving innovation and problem solving using suitable techniques and hardware and software technologies, or to undertake advanced studies for research careers.

The curriculum for the programme covers most of the foundational aspects and also develops in students the engineering skills for problem solving. Admission to the course will be done through Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi and through IIITD admission process using Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) rank.

BTech in electronics and VLSI engineering Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) 70% marks in aggregate for five subjects (including Physics, Chemistry and Maths) and 70% in Maths in class XII from CBSE Board or equivalent.   JEE Mains (of 2022) NTA Score  

IIIT Delhi offers income-linked fee waiver scheme for only Delhi students. The institute also offers two-year MTech in electronics and communications engineering (VLSI and embedded systems), admission to which is done through Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). 

The institute has signed an agreement with Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), AIC STPINEXT INITIATIVES (STPI NEXT), Technology Innovation Hub at IIIT Delhi (IHub Anubhuti), and India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA). The aim is to establish an electropreneur park on the campus which will create an ecosystem for nurturing the entrepreneurs and startups through mutual cooperation and collaboration in the area of electronics system design and manufacturing (ESDM) and allied fields.
