IIIT Delhi to Celebrate 13th Convocation
Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Delhi is set to host its 13th Convocation Ceremony on October 26, 2024, where 745 students will be awarded degrees. Dr. S. Somanath, Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), will grace the event as Chief Guest and deliver the convocation address, inspiring the graduating students as they embark on their professional journeys.
The ceremony will also be attended by Vinai Kumar Saxena, Lt. Governor of Delhi and Chancellor of IIIT-Delhi; Prof. Ranjan Bose, Director of IIIT-Delhi; and Prof. Rajesh Srivastava, Chairman of the Board of Governors. Faculty, staff, and families of the graduates will also join in celebrating this special occasion.
IIIT Delhi Convocation 2024
The graduates span a diverse array of disciplines, including Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) programs in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science and Applied Mathematics, Computer Science and Design, Computer Science and Social Sciences, Computer Science and Biosciences, and Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degrees will also be awarded in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, and Computational Biology. Additionally, Ph.D. degrees will be conferred in various significant research areas.
Alongside the awarding of degrees, the institute will honour outstanding student achievements through a range of awards. These include the Chancellor’s Gold Medal, Institute Silver Medals, All-Round Performance Medals, Best BTP (Bachelor’s Thesis Project) Awards, the Gold Medal for Excellence in M.Tech., and Best M.Tech.
