IISC Bangalore PhD Admissions 2022

IISC Bangalore Admissions 2022: The Centre for Brain Research (CBR), an Autonomous Centre of the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore has commenced the admission application process for Indian nationals for admission to its full-time PhD Program. The institute will commence the program on August 1, 2022.

Candidates interested in the IISC Bangalore CBR Admissions for PhD program may apply for the same online at https://www.cbr.iisc.ac.in/phd-programme-2/. The last date to apply for the post is June 13, 2022. Candidates will be shortlisted as per their academic background. These shortlisted candidates will then be called for an interview. The selection of the candidates will be based on academic track record and interview performance.

IISC Bangalore CBR Admissions 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Canddiates applying for PhD at IISC Bangalore CBR must have a Master’s degree in any branch of science or four-year bachelor’s degree in any branch of Medicine/ Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy/ Veterinary Science.

Candidates who are still in the final year of their respective courses are also eligible to apply, provided they successfully complete the course before July 31, 2022. Preference would be given to candidates who have qualified national level fellowship tests, such as CSIR-UGC NET for JRF/ UGC NET for JRF/ DBT-JRF/ ICMR-JRF/ INSPIRE fellows (for PhD).

CBR is a recognized research centre for PhD program by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Karnataka. PhD degree to successful candidates will be awarded by MAHE.

CBR promotes interdisciplinary research in basic and clinical neuroscience. CBR encourages research in areas such as the neurobiology of disease, human genetics, bioinformatics, and neuroimaging.
