IIT Bhilai invites applications for PhD in computer science & engg

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhilai has invited applications are invited for the PhD program in the computer science and engineering department for the upcoming semester. Those interested can apply for PhD in computer science and engineering by May 15, 2023. A virtual open house will be conducted on May 5, 2023, at 11 am for interested candidates who may join the session through the following link: https://meet.google.com/fqt-rabt-mfk. 

Eligibility criteria  

• Applicants must have a master’s degree in engineering/technology with first class, 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST) or equivalent. 
• They must also fulfil one of the following additional requirements. 

• Valid GATE score in CS/ EC/ EE/ MA/ PH. 
• Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) of CSIR/ UGC/ NBHM/ DBT/ ICAR/ ICMR/ ICPR/DAE or DST INSPIRE Fellowship  
• Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience. The experience gained while acquiring a master’s degree in engineering/Technology or experience acquired after obtaining the qualifying degree and completed before the starting of the semester. 

An ongoing degree may also be considered as a qualifying degree provided the applicant graduates before the PhD program starts. 

Tentative Schedule of Admission for PhD Program

Applicant meeting the eligibility criteria may apply for admission to the PhD program under any of the following categories. 

• Regular 
• Sponsored non-external full-time. 
• Sponsored non-external part -time. 
• Sponsored external full-time. 
• Sponsored external part -time.
