IIT Delhi launches advanced course in EV technology

The six-month certificate course will start on July 2, 2023. Interested and eligible candidates can submit applications till April 30, 2023. 

The Continuing Education Programme, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, has launched the fourth online certificate programme titled ‘Advanced Programme in Electric Vehicle (EV) Technology’. The last date to apply is April 30, 2023. The candidate will be awarded a certificate upon successful completion of the course with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate marks in the evaluation components and a minimum of 60 per cent attendance in lectures and tutorials. 

Eligibility Criteria 

Below is the eligibility criteria to participate in the programme: 

• For Indian participants - Graduates or diploma holders from a recognised university/institutes(UGC/AICTE/DEC/AIU/State Government) in any discipline. 
• For international participants - Graduation or equivalent degree from any recognised university or institution in their respective country. 

The total fee of the course is INR 1,18,000 (inclusive of taxes), instalment 1 will be INR 59,000 and instalment 2 will be INR 59,000. The booking amount (For *EMI Applications) is INR 11,800.  

The programme will start on July 2, 2023. There will be a total of three exams, total content hours will be 70 plus, the weekly time commitment is five hours and the number of live sessions is 22 plus. The programme will provide a basic understanding of all working of the storage devices from a single cell to pack level, duty cycles led sizing of storage and basics of power electronics required for interfacing devices with drive trains. The programme content will also include various aspects of charging from device to electrical grid level as well as an introduction to smart grids, net metering and system integration.
