IIT Delhi's New Abu Dhabi Campus
The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-D) has announced the launch of its first Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programmes at its new international campus in Abu Dhabi. The collaboration will offer two bachelor's degrees starting from the academic year 2024-25: BTech in Computer Science and Engineering and BTech in Energy Engineering.
These programmes will equip students to address energy challenges, shape the future digital landscape, and develop software to enhance various industries, including analytics, finance, cryptography, and information technology. Additionally, they will prepare undergraduates to meet growing demands in crucial fields such as energy and digitalization with innovative solutions.
BTech in Energy Engineering
The BTech in Energy Engineering at IIT Delhi's New Abu Dhabi campus offers a diverse array of engineering specializations tailored to various interests, all with a strong emphasis on sustainability. This programme aims to tackle contemporary challenges in energy production and management, preparing students to develop sustainable solutions for the future.
BTech in Computer Science and Engineering
The BTech in Computer Science and Engineering integrates theoretical knowledge with practical skills, emphasizing AI and machine learning. This program equips students with proficiency in abstraction, computational thinking, and problem-solving techniques, essential for navigating the complexities of today’s digital landscape.
In addition to these courses, the Abu Dhabi campus offers programs in various fields, including Energy and Sustainability, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science and Engineering, Healthcare, Mathematics and Computing, as well as other disciplines in engineering, sciences, and humanities.
