IIT Delhi To Conduct Vishwakarma Awards 2023 Finale
Vishwakarma Awards 2023: The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IITD) has teamed up with the Vishwakarma Awards for Engineering Innovation to host a yearly competition celebrating and honouring tech innovators from Indian science and engineering colleges. The finale of the Vishwakarma Awards will be conducted at eDC IIT Delhi on January 6, 2024.
The Vishwakarma Prize 2023, co-organized by the WIN Foundation and in collaboration with IIT Delhi, focuses on the theme of Water & Sanitation, Clean Technology & Smart Mobility. This award recognizes the top student innovations within each track/theme, emphasizing their potential to address real-world challenges.
Objective of Vishwakarma Awards 2023
The objective of this competition is to inspire and incentivize student teams to develop pioneering and innovative solutions that specifically target and resolve significant real-world challenges encountered within the domains of water and sanitation, clean technology, and smart mobility.
By fostering creativity and problem-solving abilities among participants, the competition seeks to encourage impactful advancements in these critical areas, aiming to bring about tangible and meaningful change within society.
All the selected teams will be given financial support for prototyping, guidance from industry professionals, and an opportunity to showcase their solutions. Also, finalist teams honoured for the "best product design" and the "most innovative solution" in each track will be eligible for extra assistance, such as the opportunity to pursue an MBF fellowship. This fellowship aims to aid in the continued advancement of their prototype, transforming it into a viable and marketable product.
