IIT Gandhinagar Invites Application For PG Interdisciplinary Programme in Society & Culture

IIT Gandhinagar has released the application form for admission into the postgraduate programme in Society and Culture. The last date to apply for the Interdisciplinary MA programme is February 10, 2024. They can fill up the form at admissions.iitgn.ac.in/pgadmission. Get details here 

 

IIT Gandhinagar Admission: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar has invited applicants to apply for the postgraduate interdisciplinary programme in Society and Culture. Interested candidates can fill up the IIT Gandhinagar PG application form online till February 10, 2024. Those who have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline can apply at admissions.iitgn.ac.in/pgadmission/.

The programme provides candidates with diverse research experiences like conducting fieldwork and ethnographic research, visiting historical and archaeological sites in Gujarat, travelling across the country through the IIT Gandhinagar Explorer Fellowships, and taking advantage of the national and international academic and industrial internship opportunities, among many others. 

Opportunities and Research Options Available After MA in Society and Culture 

The MA in Society and Culture programme provides exposure to key disciplines within the Humanities and Social Sciences, including history, cultural studies, literature, translation studies, sociology, political science and anthropology: 

• Working with the non-profit sector (NGOs, policy think tanks), industry roles such as Journalism, Advertising/media, Communications, Writing, Human Resources
• Academic roles such as Teaching or Research in Ecological Sciences and Public Policy, among others
• International PhD opportunities

IIT Gandhinagar provides liberal financial support as well as ‘On-Campus Employment Opportunities’ programme to its students. The Institute also encourages the MA (Society and Culture) students to present their research work at international conferences abroad and provides travel scholarships of up to Rs 60,000.
