IIT Gandhinagar PhD Admission 2024: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Gandhinagar has opened the application window for admission to PhD programme. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can fill up the IITGN PhD application form online at iitgn.ac.in/admissions/phd. The last date to apply for PhD admission is March 20, 2024. 

The PhD programmes are offered in these streams: Biological Sciences and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Cognitive and Bain Sciences, Computer Science & Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, Earth Sciences, Earth System Science, Electrical Engineering, Humanities & Social Sciences and Society & Culture, Materials Engineering, Mathematics and Physics.

Who are eligible for IIT Gandhinagar PhD Admission 2024? 

As per the official website, candidates with at least 55% marks or 5.5 CPI marks in M.A./M.Sc./B.Tech./M.Tech./BS (IISc, IISER)/BS-MS (IISER) or equivalent degree in appropriate branches are eligible to apply for PhD admission in IIT Gandhinagar. 

However, the different departments may use higher cut-off levels for shortlisting besides giving due consideration to the way questions are answered in the application form. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PD categories would be eligible for relaxations, as per norms, in the selection criteria.

Admission to a PhD programme at IIT Gandhinagar is offered based on an interview, which is supplemented by a written test if necessary. The Institute will invite a limited number of candidates for a written test and/or interview based on their academic records, statement of purpose, etc. The final selection is done based on academic credentials, written tests and/or interviews.
