IIT Guwahati Admission 2024: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has started accepting the application form for PhD admission for December session. Eligible candidates can fill up the IIT Guwahati PhD application form 2024 till October 25 by 5 PM. They will have to visit the official website: iitg.ac.in/acad/admission/ to complete the IIT Guwahati application form 2024.

They must note that only online IIT Guwahati PhD application form will be accepted. Candidates are required to register only once on the IIT Guwahati Application Portal, using the same login to apply for multiple disciplines. However, a separate IIT Guwahati PhD application fee must be paid for each submission.

IIT Guwahati PhD Application Process for December Session

Applications for PhD programs must be submitted online via the Application Portal: iitg.ac.in/admission. Candidates are required to register only once on the portal, and using the same login, they may apply to multiple disciplines. However, a separate application fee must be paid for each application. The submission process consists of three steps, and all steps must be completed for the application to be considered.

As part of the online application process, each candidate must pay the application (processing) fee as follows:

  • Female Candidates: INR 300
  • Transgender Candidates: INR 300
  • SC/ST/PwD Candidates: INR 300
  • All Other Candidates: INR 600

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Moreover, the IIT JAM application process is carried out in online mode (jam.iitg.ac.in).

Candidates who have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects is the basic eligibility for BDes offered at IIT Guwahati. Further, the selection of candidates is based on the scores obtained by them in the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design) followed by a counselling round conducted at the institute.
