In a significant move towards fostering innovation and technological advancement, the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) and the Indian Navy have formalized their collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The signing ceremony, held at the Naval Headquarters in New Delhi, marked a commitment to jointly drive technology development, innovative solutions, and collaborative research and development initiatives.

Rear Admiral K Srinivas, Assistant Chief of Materiel (Dockyard & Refits) representing the Indian Navy, and Prof. S. Ganesh, Director of IIT Kanpur, sealed this alliance by signing the MoU, solidifying a shared vision for leveraging academic expertise to tackle real-world challenges faced by the defense sector.

Prof. S. Ganesh, expressing his thoughts on this milestone collaboration, stated, "This partnership stands as a testament to IIT Kanpur's unwavering dedication towards advancing knowledge, establishing strategic alliances, and actively contributing to bolstering the nation's defense capabilities. With our institution's strong reputation for cutting-edge research and technological breakthroughs, we are poised to address critical challenges faced by the Indian Navy."
