IIT Kanpur to organise Udghosh National Open School Quiz for Class 5 to 12
The technology institute has taken the initiative in order to bring the festival closer to school students. The institute has announced Udghosh National Open School Quiz (UNOSQ) for students from classes 5 to 12. The competition will be conducted in two phases and the participants will have to showcase their logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, general knowledge and sports acumen.
The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) is all set to organize its annual sports festival, Udghosh 2023. The technology institute has taken the initiative in order to bring the festival closer to school students. The institute has announced Udghosh National Open School Quiz (UNOSQ) for students from classes 5 to 12.
The competition will be conducted in two phases and the participants will have to showcase their logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, general knowledge and sports acumen.
The quiz is divided into four pools to cater to different age groups— Pool A for youngsters (Classes 5 and 6), Pool B for rising stars (Classes 7 and 8), Pool C for champions (Classes 9 and 10) and Pool D for pioneers (Classes 11 and 12).
In the first phase of the quiz, participants will have to answer questions using their intellect. It will be a mix of logic, aptitude, problem-solving, general awareness and knowledge of sports. It will be “a mental adventure that makes brains work faster and smarter.” The first phase will be held on August 27.
The second phase is scheduled for September 3. It will be exclusively for top 100 students. In this phase, the questions will be more challenging and test participants’ mettle and knowledge.
The UNOSQ will culminate on September 7 and the final winners will be announced on that day. Participants will also get to attend interactive sessions with industry experts and thought leaders. A felicitation ceremony will be held at IIT Kanpur on October 8 as a part of the closing festivities of Udghosh 2023. Winners will receive prizes for more than INR 50,000 and various merchandise and goodies.
