IIT Madras offers programme to skill women in technical jobs

Overall 150 hours of training will be provided to skill the women on their drive back to their professions. To offer this programme, the IIT Madras has collaborated with the Forensic Intelligence Surveillance and Security Technologies (FISST).

On Saturday, the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) introduced a "Career Back 2 Women (CB2Women)" initiative through its "Digital Skills Academy". The purpose of the initiative is to skill women who seek to make a comeback to a technical profession after a gap in their career. Overall 150 hours of training will be provided to skill the women on their drive back to their professions. Candidates will be offered a chance to opt for any level as certificates will be offered for each level. To offer this programme, the IIT Madras has collaborated with the Forensic Intelligence Surveillance and Security Technologies (FISST).

All participants will take "Back To Technical Track (BTCUBE)", which is a 20-hour programme that will make them updated on technologies and explain the latest jargon. They will be getting an option to choose a specialisation at the end of the programme. Initially, there are 4 tracks offered. Track 1 - Data Science and Big Data, Track 2 - Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), Track 3 - Cyber Security with Digital Forensics, Track 4 - Software Engineering with Programming in Python with MongoDB. Each track consists of a Basic (40 hours) and Advanced modules (90 hours).

According to Bhaskar Ramamurthi, Director of IIT Madras, CB2W from IIT Madras' Digital Skills Academy is an advanced step that would help in bringing more women into STEM occupations. Apart from this, job placement aid will be offered to all candidates who finish the advance module in assigned tracks. The Institute also aspired to offer more courses at several levels for students and working people in collaboration with NASSCOM and in alliance with training companies incubated at IIT Madras Research Park and industry partners.

Pls postpone ts eamcet in this critical condition students lives are important then exams we are not telling to cancel just postpone to save lives of students as ap took best option to postpone eamcet exam which should conduct in July last week
