IIT Patna, IIRM jointly offer Diploma in Insurance and Risk Management

A joint certificate of IIT Patna and IIRM will be issued to the candidates who will complete the Diploma in Insurance and Risk Management.

IIT Patna and the Institute of Insurance and Risk Management (IIRM) are jointly offering a Diploma in Insurance and Risk Management. It is a 6 months program that will be offered in a hybrid mode.

There are a total credits of 10 designed to create a pool of skilled personnel having knowledge in insurance, risk management and related financial segments in addition to their regular graduation which will help them to seek careers across various sectors.

The eligibility requirement is students pursuing engineering graduation/post graduation at IIT Patna, alumni of IIT Patna/IIRM, and any other students with approval from IIT Patna are eligible to pursue this course.

Subjects covered include an overview of the insurance industry, principles and practices of insurance, underwriting, claims management, fundamentals of risk management, financial risk management, principles of risk assessment, risk quantification and modelling, and introduction to actuarial science.

The total fee is INR 42000 + GST (18%) = INR 49,560.
