IIT Patna PhD Admissions 2023: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna has begun the online application process for admission to its Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme. IIT Patna PhD programme will begin in July 2023. All the candidates who are eligible can now fill out the IIT Patna PhD Admission 2023 Application Form by visiting the official website; i.e. iitp.ac.in.

The IIT Patna PhD Admissions is open for the Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Humanities and Social Science, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering and Physics departments. 

IIT Patna PhD admission 2023: Minimum eligibility criteria

Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for IIT Patna PhD admissions 2023 below:

• In all the disciplines, the upper age limit is 28 years (BTech, BS, BE, MSc, MA, MCA, MBA) for JRF and 32 years (MTech, ME, MS, MPhil) for SRF to be calculated as on the last date of application and is applicable only for candidates applying in the regular and full-time category, as Institute Fellow.
• For research or project fellows, the age limit will be as per the funding agency norms. In absence of any age criteria, the institute norms will be followed.
• Valid GATE score as applicable from time to time is a pre-requisite for Institute Fellow (IF).
• The eligibility criteria are relaxed by five percent marks or 0.5 CPI for SC and ST applicants.
• The upper age limit is relaxed up to five years in case of candidates belonging to Sc, ST, OBC and Physically Handicapped candidates.
