IIT Patna Spot Admission in MTech, MSc program: Apply latest by tomorrow
Spot Admission is open for MTech and MSc programs at IIT Patna, tomorrow is the last date to apply for the same.
IIT-Patna has invited applications for spot admission from GATE 2022 applicants for admission to the MTech programme and JAM 2022 applicants for admission to MSc in Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics to
fill out vacant seats. Tomorrow, August 10, 2022, is the last date to apply for the spot admissions at IIT Patna.
Eligibility Criteria for MTech Programme at IIT Patna
The programme is open to candidates of all categories with Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / M Sc or equivalent professional degrees (AMIE, etc.) and having a valid GATE score. All regular category candidates (except those having B.Tech. degrees from an IIT with a minimum CPI of 8.0) must be GATE qualified with a valid GATE score. Candidates seeking admission to MTech Programme shall have to possess a minimum of 60% marks (or a CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale) for General/OBC/EWS categories and 55% marks (or a CGPA of 6.0 in 10 point scale) for SC/ST categories in the final qualifying examination. All selected candidates have to produce the certificate with regard to the marks secured in the final qualifying examination by October 31, 2022.
Candidates should note that if both CPI/CGPA and percentage are indicated in the transcript/marksheet of the qualifying degree then only CPI/CGPA shall be taken into account for determining eligibility.
Eligibility Criteria for MSc Chemistry
A bachelor’s degree (at least 10+2+3) with Chemistry as a major/honours subject and Mathematics and Physics as other subjects, OR candidates having a bachelor’s degree
(at least 10+2+3) without (Major/Honours) must have the concerned degree with (a) Chemistry as a subject for three years/six semesters, (b) Minimum 2 courses in Mathematics, and (c) Minimum 2 courses in Physics.
Eligibility Criteria for MSc Mathematics
A bachelor's (at least 10+2+3) degree with major/honours in Mathematics OR bachelor's (at least 10+2+3) degree without major/honours in Mathematics but with Mathematics as a subject for two years/four semesters.
Eligibility Criteria for MSc Physics
A bachelor’s degree (at least 10+2+3) with Physics as a major/honours subject and Mathematics as one of the other subjects OR a bachelor’s degree (at least 10+2+3) with Physics as a subject for at least two years/four semesters and Mathematics for at least one year/two semesters.
