IIT Patna, TeamLease, NSDC Signs MoU To Improve Graduate Employability

IIT Patna, TeamLease EdTech, and NSDC has joined hands to bolster collaborative advocacy and support initiatives aimed at crafting an innovative form of higher education. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna, TeamLease EdTech and NSDC signed a MoU to mark their partnership to fast-track the creation of expansive, forward-thinking learning initiatives centered on employability. This joint effort aims to introduce work-linked hybrid degree programs, offering every aspiring student at this esteemed institution an opportunity to graduate while enhancing their value in the eyes of potential employers.

The MOU between IIT Patna, TeamLease EdTech and NSDC will strengthen joint advocacy and support efforts to create an alternative format of higher education integrating high-quality formal education, skill development and employer connectivity. The program will provide opportunity to every learner to get an IIT Degree along with an experience certificate from the employer. 

The new sets of Work-linked Hybrid Degree Programs have five unique attributes:

• Learning by Doing: The students will be offered the opportunity to intern with an employer to gain practical hands-on skills
• Learning while Earning: Every interning student can earn a monthly stipend
• Learning with Flexibility: The programs have been uniquely crafted to blend online learning, skills training, on-the-job training, and in-campus learning experiences
• Learning with Modularity: The programs will provide the option of credit mobility to the learners in due course of time
• Learning with Employer Signalling: This new category of programs shall signal skill building alongside academic prudence

Currently graduating students can also enroll in these programs to get Dual Degrees. Students can enroll in the program through their smartphones once they have registered, which is attributable to an integrated technology platform. The enrollment for these programs will start in January 2024.
