IIT Patna to work with Bihar Govt’s Zero Lab for promoting entrepreneurship
Incubation Centre IIT Patna, under the guidance of IIT Patna, will manage the operations of the centre.
Department of Industries, Govt of Bihar through its agency BIADA signed an MoU with Incubation Centre Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna for operationalizing ideation lab named "Zero Lab" for promoting entrepreneurship among young aspirants in Bihar.
The Zero Lab, located at Udyog Bhawan, Patna will facilitate innovators and entrepreneurs in the state with awareness sessions, master classes, boot camps, IP facilitation, networking events and similar initiatives. It will also provide information support on various government schemes related to startups. Incubation Centre IIT Patna, under the guidance of IIT Patna, will manage the operations of the centre.
Incubation Centre IIT Patna is the leading technology business incubator established by IIT Patna in its campus at Bihta, Patna and is focussed on supporting Electronics, IoT and Medical Electronics startups from Bihar and Pan India and has nurtured more than 60 startups since its inception.
Dr Yatendra Kumar Singh, Professor in Charge of Incubation Centre IIT Patna informed that the "Zero Lab", named so to represent the rise of an entrepreneur from level zero, will be operationalised within a few weeks time.
The new facility will be a boon to the entrepreneurial aspirants from all sectors and is expected to encourage a large number of potential startups to chart the course for their entrepreneurial journey.
