IIT Roorkee's GNEC organises ‘Indo-German Partnership Workshop’ to strengthen scientific cooperation

The International Relations Office of the IIT Roorkee recently organised a workshop at the institute's Greater Noida Center (GNEC). The Indo-German Partnership Workshop aimed to enhance scientific cooperation, application-oriented ideas, and innovation, and fortify the bonds between Indian and German institutions. The event, which had two distinct sessions, had the theme: Bridging Horizons: Indo-German Scientific Collaboration at IIT Roorkee.

Professor K K Pant, Director, of IIT Roorkee said, "The Indo-German Partnership Workshop at IIT Roorkee served as an invaluable platform for bolstering scientific collaboration between India and Germany, fostering mutual growth, and setting the stage for future cooperation and innovation. In fact, India ranks second after China in the list of countries with the largest number of overseas students in Germany (as of 2021)," as reported by India Today.

IIT Roorkee: More Updates

Virtual Labs IIT Roorkee and the Department of Technical Education Uttarakhand, under the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT) scheme of the Ministry of Education Government of India New Delhi, organized a Training Program on Virtual Labs for Faculty members from Polytechnic Institutes of Uttarakhand on October 21, 2023.

Moreover, IIT Roorkee organised the Sustainability, Technology and Investments Colloquium. The event was organised by the academic affairs office which was graced by the Charge of the affairs of the embassy of Costa Rica at New Delhi. Professor Anil Gupta, a senior academician and Head of Division – ECDRM at the National Institute of Disaster Management, Ministry of Home Affairs, Mr Aprit Chaturvedi, CEO of Global Policy Insight, a policy think tank organisation, and Mr. Gaurav Gupta, MD of Desire Energy Solutions spoke on the occasion as the resource persons.
