IIT Roorkee to organise Google Research Sponsored Mentorship Program

The program is open to final year bachelor's and master's computer science background. The last date to apply for the program is December 15, 2023.

IIT Roorkee has announced to organise the Google Research Sponsored Mentorship Program. The institute invited applications with a special emphasis on encouraging students belonging to historically underrepresented groups, women, remotely located college students, and those from low socioeconomic backgrounds. 

The main goal of the program is to provide students with an immersive experience in various computing research fields, guided by expert faculty from top universities and institutes.

Open to final year bachelor's and master's computer science background," reads the tweet by IIT Roorkee.

Eligibility Criteria

All UG/PG final-year students are eligible, the selected candidates will be intimated through email. The number of seats is limited to 50. 

Google Research Award will cover travel, accommodation and food maximum of up to INR 15,000, accommodation for participants will be provided at the IIT Roorkee hostel with catering facilities as per availability. The mode of the program will be virtual and onsite.

The main highlights of the program are - one to one interaction with domain experts and faculties from reputed institutions, learn, interact and opportunities to collaborate with them, work opportunities on cutting-edge technologies with Tinkering Lab, IIT Roorkee, workshops, poster presentations, hackathon, hands-on technical skill building sessions and more, and Google Research Award Certificate for successful completion of the workshop.
