IIT Ropar Releases Application Form for Summer Internship Programme; Apply By March 24

IIT Ropar is accepting application form for the summer internship programme at the official website: iitrpr.ac.in. Interested candidates can apply for IIT Ropar summer internship till March 24, 2024. Know different departments offering summer internships here 

IIT Ropar Internship: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar is inviting applications for the summer internship programmes. Candidates can apply separately for IIT Ropar summer internships at different departments online at the official website: iitrpr.ac.in. The last date to register for the IIT Ropar internship is March 24, 2024. 

Summer internships at IIT Ropar are available in different departments of the institute. As per the dates announced, the IIT Ropar summer internship programme will be held for five to eight weeks starting on May 15 to July 15, 2024. The respective department of IIT Ropar will prepare the selection criteria and merit list depending on the requirement of the number of interns. 

Departments Offering Summer Internships at IIT Ropar 

Students will have the option to select the departments in which they wish to do the internship. The IIT Ropar departments where summer internships are available:

• Biomedical Engineering
• Center for Applied Research in Data Sciences
• Chemical Engineering
• Chemistry
• Civil Engineering
• Computer Science and Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Humanities and Social Sciences
• Mathematics
• Mechanical Engineering
• Metallurgical & Materials Engineering
• Physics

They must select a research supervisor in their respective field of study/ course. Although they have an option in the application form to select at most three research supervisors, they are required to do their internship in one department under one supervisor only. 

The student has to pay the cost of food and access to other amenities. No financial assistance will be provided to them during IIT Ropar summer internship. Hostel accommodation based on sharing will be provided subject to availability on a chargeable basis to the internees. 

The application for accommodation after being selected for the IIT Ropar summer internship will have to be given to the office of the dean of student affairs through the faculty supervisor and the HOD for permission.
