Jawaharlal Nehru Technological Univerisity to conduct final year exams 2020 from September 16.

Final Year Exams 2020: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad has announced that it will conduct the final year exams 2020 for both engineering and pharmacy courses. The varsity said that the exam will be conducted from September 16 onwards.

Director of Evaluation, JNTUH, V Kamakshi Prasad had released a letter in which it has mentioned that the university will conduct exams at the campus. Also, the university has planned to conduct the fourth year second semester exams for the BTech and BPharm courses.

The varsity has said that it will be taking all the necessary precautions to conduct the examination. However, the University has not yet released any guidelines to be followed as a preventive measure against coronavirus during the examination, but as per media reports, students will thermally be screened before appearing for the exams. The use of sanitizers and face mask is mandatory while appearing for the examination.

However, students have strongly opposed the varsity's decision to conduct the final year exams amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis in the country. A petition has also been filed by the state president of the National Students Union of India Venkat Balmoori in the High Court against the conduct of the examination. As per the media report, Venkat Balmoori has said that the case is still with the court and the university cannot take any decision ahead of the verdict.

Meanwhile, JNTU has extended the last date to apply for Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test, TS EAMCET 2020 until August 31, 2020. The new dates of the exam will be released by the Telangana government soon.
