The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the counselling dates on the official website at josaa.nic.in today (June 7, 2023). As per the official schedule, JoSAA counselling and choice filling process will begin on June 19 at 10 am. Candidates will be able to apply for JoSAA counselling on josaa.nic.in.

This year the aggregate marks for JEE Advanced 2023 were as follows in paper 1 and paper 2:

• Maximum Aggregate Marks: 360 (180 in each of the two papers).
• Maximum Physics Marks: 120 (60 in each of Papers 1 and 2).
• Maximum Chemistry Marks:120 (60 in each of Papers 1 and 2).
• Maximum Mathematics Marks: 120 (60 for each of the two papers).

Candidates can challenge the JEE Advanced answer key till June 12, 5 pm.

Candidates can raise objections against the answers that seem incorrect to them. The authorities will provide a certain period for it. Given below are the steps to be followed for raising objections against JEE Advanced 2023 answer key:

• Visit the JEE Advanced official website
• Login using JEE Advanced application number and password
• Click on the link to challenge the answer key
• Mark the number of questions whose answer is to be challenged
• Upload the documents in support of objections and pay fees (if applicable)

BArch program is available at IIT (BHU) Varanasi, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee only. Candidates desirous of joining the BArch (Architecture) program will have to pass the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT). Only those candidates who have qualified in JEE (Advanced) 2023 are eligible to appear in AAT 2023. Results of AAT will be declared on the JEE (Advanced) 2023 online portal.

Rank lists are prepared based on the aggregate marks in JEE Advanced 2023. If the aggregate marks scored by two or more candidates are the same, then the following tie-break policy will be used for awarding ranks:

• Candidates having higher positive marks will be awarded a higher rank. 
• If a tie exists then a higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Mathematics.
• If this does not break the tie, a higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Physics.
• If there is a tie even after this, candidates will be assigned the same rank.

 IIT Guwahati will release JEE Advanced result 2023 on June 18. Candidates can check and download the JEE Advanced 2023 scorecard under their respective login on jeeadv.ac.in. To Download JEE Advanced 2023 scorecard, candidates have to use 7-digit roll number, date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format, and the 10-digit phone number that they used while registering for JEE (Advanced).

A candidate is said to have qualified in JEE Advanced if he/she secures the minimum percentage of marks in each subject and in the aggregate, as per respective category and as per the table given below. As per experts, since the exam was of moderate difficulty level, the qualifying cut-off is expected to be higher than last year. 

As per the experts from renowned coaching centres: For the unreserved category, the aggregate cut-off is expected to be around 17 per cent while it will be around 15 per cent for EWS and OBC category candidates. For SC and ST students, the cut-off is expected to be around 8 per cent.

Also, cut-off marks for the unreserved category will be between 49 to 52 marks. For OBC and EWS, the cut-off marks will be 80 per cent of the general category’s cut-off and for SC and ST students, it will be 50 per cent of the general category.

IIT Guwahati has released JEE Advanced answer keys.

The JEE Advanced 2023 official answer key was to be released initially at 10 am. However, it has yet not been uploaded. It is expected that the answer keys will be now available at around 11 am. Stay tuned for updates.

JEE Advanced 2023 official answer key will be out at 10 am today.

This year, JEE Advanced was conducted by IIT Guwahati on June 4. Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati has retained its position among the top 10 engineering colleges in the country in the National Institutional Rankings Framework (NIRF), achieving 7th Rank in the ‘Engineering’ Category this year. Qualifying in JEE (Advanced) 2023, filling in choices and/or participating in the joint seat allocation process does not guarantee a candidate admission to IITs. Admission will depend on merit and the availability of seats during various rounds of seat allocation, which will be done via the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2023.

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2023 has been set up by the Ministry of Education [erstwhile Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD)] to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 114 institutes for the academic year 2023-23.
