JEE Advanced 2025 Application Form Releasing on Apr 23; Information Brochure & Complete Schedule Out
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has released the JEE Advanced 2025 information brochure on its official website, jeeadv.ac.in. As per the schedule, the registration process for JEE Advanced 2025 will begin on April 23, 2025, at 10 am. Eligible candidates can complete the application form on the official website until May 2, 2025.
The JEE Advanced 2025 exam will take place on May 18, 2025, and will last for 3 hours. The exam will consist of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. The two papers will be conducted in two sessions: Paper 1 from 9 am to 12 noon, and Paper 2 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
The Joint Admission Board (JAB) has reinstated the previous eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2025, which includes limiting the number of attempts to two. Initially, the board had increased the number of attempts to three, but the decision was reversed after considering various factors.
A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court requesting the inclusion of a third attempt for JEE Advanced. The next hearing for this petition is scheduled for January 6, 2025. The plea, submitted by 22 candidates, challenges the JAB's decision to reduce the number of attempts from three back to two for the upcoming exam.
IIT Kanpur has also released the JEE Advanced 2025 syllabus and the official information brochure, which details eligibility criteria, application fee, exam pattern, and marking scheme.
To be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2025, candidates must qualify in the JEE Main 2025 exam and rank among the top 2,50,000 in the BE/BTech paper. Additionally, candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 2000. SC, ST, and PwD candidates are eligible for a five-year age relaxation.

Q: I have forgotten my JEE Main application number, how can I login for JEE Advanced application form?
If you have forgotten your JEE Main application number, you can recover it using the following options:
- Check your email or mobile for a message consisting of your JEE Main application number sent during registration.
- Check your printout of the confirmation page for the application number.
- Contact NTA authorities to know your application number.
Once you have recovered your JEE Main application number, you can use it to login and fill out the JEE Advanced application form. If you are unable to remember your password, you can reset it using the forgot password option available on the official website of JEE Advanced.
Please note that the JEE Advanced application form can only be filled out by those candidates who have qualified the JEE Main cutoff. Therefore, before filling out the form, make sure you have qualified the JEE Main exam.
Q: What is the mode of JEE Advanced application fee payment?
The mode of payment for JEE Advanced application fee is online only. Candidates can pay the fee through debit/credit card, internet banking, or UPI. The payment can be made through multiple payment gateways and options. However, please note that fee submitted through any other mode like money order, demand draft, IPO, etc. is not accepted for online applications.

To apply for JEE Advanced 2025, candidates need JEE Main 2025 application number and password. This means only the candidates who qualify JEE Main for JEE Advanced, cand apply. JEE Main details in the form will be prefilled from the JEE Main 2025 database. Next candidates need to enter the scanned documents as per the specifications.
