JEE Main 2023 Postponed? A fake notice claiming that JEE Main 2023 has been postponed has gone viral on social media platforms causing confusion among the candidates.
A fake notice claiming that JEE Main 2023 has been deferred has gone viral on social media platforms. The fake letter that has been doing the rounds on various social media platforms, claimed that the JEE Main 2023 first session has been postponed until further notice.
The fake notice read, βThe decision has benn taken due to increased of aspirants and the dates of the attempt clashing with some state board examinations as well as pre-board exams of schools.β
It further read, βIt may also be noted that the National Testing Agency has decided to remove 75 per cent criteria for both attempts to support the students who dropped a year. Confirmation on the dates of second attempt (April) shall be declared on the official websites of NTA.β
βFor further clarification related to JEE Main 2023, candidates are advised to visit the official websites of NTA (www.nta.ac.in) and jeemain.nta.nic.in for latest updates,β the fake circular added.
JEE Main 2023: Bombay HC to hear plea demanding exam postponement today
Meanwhile, the Bombay High Court will hear the plea on postponement of JEE Main 2023 exam scheduled to be held today (January 10, 2023). Apart from rescheduling JEE Main 2023 first session, the public interest litigation (PIL) has also requested the National testing Agency (NTA) to remove the 75 per cent eligibility criterion.
Earlier on January 4, the matter was heard by the bench comprising Acting Chief Justice of Bombay HC SV Gangarpurwala and Justice Sandeep V Marne who adjourned the case for today, January 10. The Bombay High Court had given the petitioner more time to file the brochure for the JEE Main 2023 exam on record.
