• National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the JEE Mains 2024 Syllabus. As per the revised syllabus, several topics of class 11 and 12 have been removed from the JEE Main syllabus for the exam. • In terms of order of Difficulty – Mathematics was Moderate.
• Physics was Easy Overall, this paper was of Moderate level as per students
• Students were given a booklet for rough work.

• No errors were reported in the question papers.

JEE Main 27 January Shift 1 is over and overall analysis of the exam is easy to moderate as per some students.

JEE Main 2024 January 27 shift 2 exam started at 3 pm. The gates were closed at 2:30 pm.

• They should carry their JEE Main session 1 admit card. Without it, they will not be allowed to appear in the exam
• They have to carry one passport-size photograph (same as uploaded with the JEE Main 2024 application form). It has to be pasted on the attendance sheet

For the correctness of the translation for a particular language, only the English version will be considered as the final version for evaluation purposes.

There will be no break in the JEE Mains 2024 exam for session 1. The total duration of the exam is three hours. Candidates are allowed to enter the exam hall as per the scheduled time and can leave only after the completion of paper.

It is not compulsory to attempt all the question in JEE Main exam. Students can attempt any number of questions out of total 90 questions in the exam. Students also have internal choices in Section B of every subject (Numerical Value Type questions) in which students need to attempt any 5 questions out of 10. Students are advised to attempt only those questions for which they can arrive at the answer/solutions.

Numerical value questions in JEE Main are the questions for which the answer will be a numerical value. In every subject, students will have 10 numerical value type questions out of which students need to attempt only 5 questions. In total, students will need to answer only 15 out of 30 numerical value type questions.

To score good marks in JEE Mains, study NCERT books thoroughly. NCERT books are the best to understand the basic concepts. Students should build their conceptual knowledge and solve numerical problems on every topic. Another essential piece of advice is to solve the previous year's paper.

JEE Main mock test are very helpful in understanding the paper pattern of JEE Mains exam. JEE Main mock tests are based on the actual exam pattern of the exam thus gives an overview of the actual to the candidates. Attempting JEE Main mock tests also increases the speed of the candidates which will help in completing the actual exam on time. Candidates can practice free JEE Mains 2024 mock test at nta.ac.in.

• JEE Main 2024 Admit Card downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear, preferably colour printout on A4 size paper).
• One Passport size photograph (same as uploaded with the Online Application Form) is to be pasted on the Attendance Sheet at the Centre.

• Try wearing simple, clothes that are light and do not have many drapes.
• Complicated hairstyles or clothing will lead to a longer frisking session.
• If you wear any religious attire please reach out before the time for thorough frisking.
• Wear sandals/slippers.

Along with the JEE Main 2024 admit card, students will also have to carry a photo identity card. PAN cards, driving license, voter ID, passport, aadhaar card with photograph, e- aadhaar, ration card  or the 12th Class admit card will also be considered valid as identity proofs.

The JEE Main 2024 record will be preserved for up to 90 days from the declaration date of the result.

JEE Main 2024 exam will be conducted in a total of 13 languages namely English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Candidates can select their preferred language in which they wish to appear in the exam at the time of filling the application form. It is to be noted that during the exam, the question paper will be available in two language, English and the language selected at the time of filling the form.

Divyangjan candidates are permitted to use a Scribe or allowed Compensatory time or both as mentioned below:

As per NTA;

• The facility of a Scribe, in case he/she has a physical limitation and a scribe is essential to write the examination on his/her behalf, being so certified in the aforesaid format by a CMO/Civil Surgeon/ Medical Superintendent of a Government Health Care Institution.
• Compensatory time of one hour for examination of three hours duration, whether such candidate uses the facility of Scribe or not. 

The JEE Main 2024 Paper 1 Session 1 will be conducted on January 27, 29, 30, 31 and February 1, 2024.

It is advised that students should solve at least previous 10 year question papers of JEE Main. However, the exam pattern as well as difficulty level of JEE Mains has underwent a lot of changes during the last 10 years but still solving previous year JEE Main question papers from last 10 years will definitely help in scoring the good marks in the exam. 

• The candidates were advised to register through Digi Locker/ABC ID. Those candidates who did not register through the Digi Locker / ABC ID (or chose authentication through non-Aadhaar options), need to report early on the day of the examination (at least 1 hour earlier) to get their Biometrics recorded at the exam centre
• Candidates must note that they are subjected to frisking and biometric attendance even following restroom breaks
• Candidates must react the exam centre at least 2 hours before the commencement of JEE Main exam 
• Candidates will not be allowed entry into the JEE Main 2024 exam centre after gate closing time
• They must make sure to carry a printout of their JEE Main hall ticket a valid photo ID proof and passport-size photographs
• They are not allowed to carry any electronic devices such as mobile phones, calculators, slide rules, log tables, printed or written material, bits of paper, pager, or any other device
• Blank paper sheets for rough work of A4 size will be provided. Candidates must write their name and roll number at the top of each of the sheets
