JEE Mains 2022 Exam Date Latest News: First session in March, registration likely to begin in February first week

As the registration process has not yet started, the first session will most certainly be postponed to March or later. Candidates can expect the JEE Main 2022 notification anytime soon now.

National Testing Agency will announce the JEE Main 2022 exam dates by the first week of February. The notification and information brochure for JEE Main will be available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Details about exam date, registration schedule, syllabus, exam pattern and other information related to the exam will be provided in the brochure.

NTA usually begins the registration process by January and conducts the first session exam in February. However, the exam has been delayed this year due to COVID-19 and assembly elections in five states. As per various news reports, NTA is in talks with the Education Ministry, AICTE and IIT Joint Admission Board for finalizing the exam dates.

The first session of JEE Mains 2022 is likely to be held in the last week of March. But, as CBSE, ICSE and other state boards will be conducting the class 12 board exams in March-April, NTA may consider conducting the first session in April to avoid a clash of schedule. Also, it would be difficult for students to appear in JEE and boards simultaneously which could push JEE Main till April.

JEE Main registration 2022 is likely to start from the first week of February after the announcement of exam dates. Application forms will be available online on the website. NTA will provide the registration facility separately for all the sessions. Candidates will have the option of filling JEE Main 2022 application form for one or more sessions together as per their choice.

It is to be noted that NTA has not made any official announcement on JEE Main 2022 registration schedule or dates of the exam. Also, there is no official notification regarding the number of attempts, syllabus, pattern and JEE Main 2022 eligibility criteria as of now. It is most likely that there will be no change in the syllabus, exam pattern and number of attempts. NTA will conduct JEE Main 2022 four times. Candidates are advised to keep checking the official website for details about JEE Mains 2022 registration date and exam schedule.
