JEE Mains Result: NTA debars 39 candidates for 3 years
NTA debars 39 JEE mains candidates for 3 years as they were found using unfair means(UFMs) of practice. NTA has already warned aspirants about strict actions against those who were found to be using UFMs.
NTA released a public notice on 1st May 2024, stating that 39 candidates have been debarred from the JEE examination for 3 years till 2027 due to UFMs (Unfair means) practices.
All of it started when some candidates faced challenges in downloading their JEE MAIN session 2 scorecards. NTA has announced JEE MAINS session 2 results on 25th April 2024. NTA has released scorecard, but these students were unable to download their scorecard.
NTA found these 39 candidates have more than one scorecard with multiple registrations. Later considering this incident, NTA issued a notice on 1st May 2024 regarding unfair practices used by candidates. NTA has taken Strict Action including debarment for 03 years initiated against 39 candidates due to using unfair means (UFM).
In this regard, NTA has already stated in the JEE Mains 2024 information bulletin “Any candidate with more than one Application Number (more than one SCORE CARDS) will be treated as UFM, even if found at a later stage, and strict action will be taken against that Candidate.”
This year more than 24 lacs students appeared for JEE mains examination including 12.2 lakh candidates in session and 12.5 lakh candidates in session 2. Jee candidates must thoroughly read the information bulletin and strictly follow court's directions.
As per the court's direction, no student should have more than one scorecard for each JEE session. If any candidate is found with more than one scorecard due to multiple registrations, strict action will be taken against the candidate.
NTA has taken strict actions to ensure integrity and transparency in conducting JEE Mains Exam with the highest degree of standards.
