JoSAA 2024 Counselling: IITs seats increased this year; Check Institute-Wise IIT Seats

The authority is conducting the JoSAA 2024 registration. It was started on June 10, 2024. The JoSAA 2024 seat matrix was also released on the official website at josaa.nic.in. JoSAA 2024 Registration Ongoing: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority is conducting the JoSAA 2024 registration and choice filling on the official website at josaa.nic.in. It was started on June 10, 2024. The authority released the JoSAA 2024 seat matrix, which shows a significant increase in IIT seats as compared to 2023. Check below in detail about the IIT seat counts institute-wise.

According to the official data, this year 355 seats are increased in IIT, including 20 in IIT Bhubaneswar, 12 in IIT Bombay, 30 in Kharagpur, 84 in Patna, 30 in Gandhinagar, 10 in Guwahati, 40 in Bhilai, 10 in Tirupati, and 75 in Dharwad. In 2023, the IIT seat count was 17385.

JoSAA 2024 Regsitraton Ongoing

Check below the steps of JoSAA registration and choice filling 2024.

Registration:
Candidates need to complete the JoSAA 2024 registration process. Check below for the method to register for JoSAA 2024.

• Visit the official website at joss.nic.in.
• Click on the JoSAA 2024 registration link.
• Enter the JEE Main 2024 roll number and password to register.
• JEE Advanced 2024-qualified candidates' can use their corresponding password to log in.
• Enter the basic details, like gender, nationality, etc. Review the details and reconfirm them.

After registration, candidates need to fill in choices for courses and institutes based on their preferences and qualifications. Arrange them in order of preference by selecting "Arrange Filled Choices.".

Now, lock your choices and take the printout for future reference.

Another step is seat allocation. Seats will be allocated based on rank, choices, and seat availability. If satisfied, choose the freeze, float, or slide option. After accepting the seat, pay the seat acceptance fee.

Document Verification: As per the schedule, verify the documents online, and after this, the candidate can report to the allocated institute for final admission.

Reporting at the Institute: The candidate needs to report to the allotted institute, deposit the remaining fee, and complete the admission related formalities.
