NDMC Plans To Provide Free JEE NEET Coaching

New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is planning to provide free coaching for NEET and JEE to 100 meritorious students studying at its schools and the Navyug schools. This initiative involves a two-year integrated program for class 11th students, conducted in collaboration with a coaching center. In these coaching classes, around 50 students will be enrolled for JEE Main coaching and 50 for NEET UG classes respectively each year.

This indicates that in the first year 2024, around 100 students of class 12 will be enrolled for two years (2024-25 and 2025-26) integrated course. The number will increase to around 200 (100 starting in 2024-25 and 100 starting in 2025-26 and so on) for subsequent years, 2025-26 onwards. The move is being introduced to provide a level playing field to meritorious students.

NDMC has issued a tender seeking proposals from coaching institutes interested in starting classes. A key requirement for these institutes is to have at least one operational center in Delhi, situated near the NDMC region, and to be fully equipped with essential infrastructure like premises, a library, and other necessary facilities.

As per PTI reports, the coaching partner who wins the bid will have to conduct a screening test of class 11 and 12 students for shortlisting around 50 meritorious students each for NEET and JEE. Also, the coaching partner will be tasked with guiding the selected students for applying to various courses. The institute will have to provide study material, conduct mock tests, psychology sessions through reputed psychologists to the students.

In addition, the coaching partner will also provide the latest study and test materials, conduct sessions to address doubts, and administer nationwide test papers. Physical study materials and test questions will be distributed to students. Moreover, students will gain access to online study resources, including recorded lectures and videos organized by topic, as well as online quizzes and tests focused on specific topics. They will also have the opportunity to take comprehensive online mock tests, complete with syllabus coverage and result analysis.
