The National Institutional Ranking Framework has released the NIRF 2024 ranking. Through the NIRF ranking 2024, various universities and institutions have been ranked based on different parameters decided by the authorities. As per the NIRF Engineering ranking 2024, the Indian Institute of Technology Madras has again secured the top rank in the list. Similar to the previous year's rankings, IIT Delhi, Bombay and Kanpur have ranked second, third and fourth in the NIRF Engineering Rank 2024 for Government Engineering colleges. In the top 10 Government Engineering institutes, the Indian Institute of Technology Varanasi has secured the 10th rank and moved up the list as compared to their 15th rank in the previous year.

Q:   Can I get admission to IIT Bombay in BTech if my rank is between 1 and 5000?

A:

The cut off rank in Round 6 for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering is 67 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category, one can not afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing from round to round, better ranks definitely increases your chances of getting admission in IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology.
