JEE Main 2024: Achieving a distinguished career globally often requires passing rigorous exams. In India, those who succeed in exams like the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and the Indian Institute of Technology – Joint Entrance Exam (IIT JEE) not only secure well-paying positions but also demonstrate their scholarly excellence. Moreover, those aiming to conquer tough competitive exams generally engage in intensive study sessions, dedicating long hours into the night to attain good marks and JEE rank.

Recently, a user on X (formerly Twitter) shared the strict timetable of a friend gearing up for the JEE, emphasising the role of managing time effectively. This participant, known as Mr. Rc on X and identifying as a 16-year-old, revealed a handwritten schedule belonging to his 17-year-old friend. The caption reads; “Schedule of a close friend who is preparing for JEE.”

Schedule of JEE Main 2024 Aspirant

The timetable showed his daily routines, sleep time, and study hours. According to the schedule, the first 2.5 hours of the morning are spent “revising previous chapters”. He then gets ready and works on “classwork” from 7:45 am until 10 am. After a 15-minute rest or nap, the IIT-JEE candidate returns to “class work” till noon.

He only takes 20-minute lunch breaks. The studies then continue for three hours, followed by a 30-minute nap. The teenager attends classes from 4 to 8:30 pm. This is followed by a 30-minute “notes” session. After his dinner break, he continues to study until 11:45 pm.  To keep his spirits up, he wrote a motivational quote at the bottom of his schedule: "Never will you have this day again. So make it count."

Other's Reaction on X After Viral JEE Main Study Timetable

Many users wrote that every aspirant makes a similar or even more rigorous schedule, which they rarely follow. Reacting to his post, one user said, ''Too hectic..no time for physical activity.'' Another commented, ''This looks good, especially those power-naps. Would request to begin the day with meditation/running and add any sports for 30 minutes later in the day. All the best.''

Whereas, a graduate from IIT Bombay's CSE department, class of 2021, remarked that he studied significantly less but still achieved a perfect score in the JEE Main 2017 (AIR 1), scoring 360 out of 360. He also shared that numerous coaching centres in Kota offered him special accommodations and even proposed payments for his attendance in classes. However, he declined these offers, choosing instead to remain in his hometown of Udaipur for his preparation.

The top scorer remarked that his study routine didn't align with the usual pattern of an aspirant studying for over 8 hours daily, as he also took time out for cricket, TV, and other activities. Yet, he admitted feeling quite exhausted upon starting college. He opined that students crafting such intensive schedules might be compensating for skill gaps, resulting in burnout.

Another user added, ''that's some insane discipline if he does it consistently. My routine for NEET and JEE was very indisciplined and vague. Altho I had a decent success, but still I wish I was somewhat disciplined during prep time. may be it would have reduced some unnecessary stress.''
