NTA to discontinue conducting recruitment exams from next session
National Testing Agency will discontinue conducting all the recruitment exams from the next session. The authorities will focus on conducting higher education entrance exams only said Union Education Miniter Dharmendra Pradhan. The National Testing Agency will be reconstituted next year. As pet the suggestions from the expert committee, many changes will be made to the exam pattern and other parameters.
NTA Exam Updates: The National Testing Agency will continue conducting recruitment exams from next session. The authorities will focus on conducting higher education exams said Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. There are many other recommendations suggested by the expert committee for NTA reforms. The move came after many reports of paper leak earlier this year including many loopholes in the system.
The minister stated that NTA will be responsible to all the higher education exams. No recruitment exam will be conducted by NTA. Additionally, there are suggestions to shift NEET UG exam from pen and paper mode to computer-based exam. This came after the reports of NEET paper leak and questions raised on the integrity of National Testing Agency. The proposal is also discussed with the Health Ministry to shift the exam from offline to online mode. Pradhan also mentioned that CUET UG exam will be conducted annually with fresh changes introduced this year. NTA has reduced the number of subject domains from 29 to 23. NTA has also reduced the number of subjects from 63 to 37 this year.
The minister also mentioned regarding the introduction of new posts in NTA for smooth functioning. The aim is to create a safe ecosystem for exam conducted by NTA.
The National Testing Agency has already concluded the JEE Main 2025 registrations for phase 1. Applicants who have registered for the exam will be issued JEE Main 2025 admit card tentatively in the last week of January. NEET 2025 exam date is expected to be released in January. Applicants are advised to keep track of NTA official website 2025 to keep track of all the important events related to the exam.

NTA has announced the JEE Main 2025 exam date session 1 and 2. The session 1 exam will be conducted from January 22 to 31, 2025 while the session 2 will be held from April 1 to 8, 2025. The exam city slip will have details of city in which the test centre of candidate is located and the date of exam.
