NTA Releases JEE Main 2024 Session 1 Advisory

JEE Main 2024 Session 1: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an advisory for JEE Main 2024 today. Candidates can check exam day guidelines and important documents required to carry at the JEE Main exam centre at the official website: jeemain.nta.ac.in as well as here on this page. It has been stated in the notice that, "We hope that you have downloaded the Admit Card and are now fully prepared to appear for the JEE (Main) - 2024 Session 1 Examination on the date, shift, Course, and venue of the Test Centre as indicated on the Admit Card downloaded from the NTA website." 

The JEE Main 2024 guidelines also state that candidates must not adopt any unfair means, or indulge in any unfair examination practices as the examination centres are under surveillance of CCTV and equipped with Jammers. Here, they can check JEE Main exam day guidelines to know what is allowed and prohibited at the exam centre. 

JEE Main 2024 Important Points To Keep in Mind 

  • Those appearing for the engineering entrance exam must download their JEE Main admit card 2024 from the official website
  • They must check their reporting time, gate closing time, date of exam, shift timings and venue of JEE Main mentioned in the hall ticket 
  • They should visit the JEE Main exam centre, in advance and familiarize themselves with the location
  • The candidates were advised to register through Digi Locker/ABC ID. Those candidates who did not register through the Digi Locker / ABC ID (or chose authentication through non-Aadhaar options), need to report early on the day of the examination (at least 1 hour earlier) to get their Biometrics recorded at the exam centre

What to carry at JEE Main 2024 Exam Centre? 

  • Candidates must carry their JEE Main session 1 admit card (a clear, preferably colour printout on A4 size paper)
  • They must carry one passport-size photograph (same as uploaded with the application form) to be pasted on the attendance sheet
  • A valid Photo ID Proof original (PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/E- Aadhaar/Ration Card/12th Class admit card 
  • PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if claiming the relaxation under the PwD category

JEE Main 2024 Other Important Guidelines 

  • If a candidate goes for bio-break /toilet, they should undergo the mandatory frisking and biometrics again
  • Blank paper sheets for rough work of A4 size will be provided. Candidates must write their name and roll number at the top of each of the sheets.
  • They must drop the sheets in the designated drop box without fail, before leaving the exam hall
  • The candidate should ensure that the question paper available on the computer screen is as per their opted subject/medium. In case, the subject/medium of the question paper is other than their opted subject/medium, the same may be brought to the notice of the Invigilator concerned
  • For the Drawing Test - Part III of B.Arch., they must bring their own Geometry Box Set, Pencils, Erasers, and Colour Pencils or Crayons. They are not allowed to use watercolours on the drawing sheet

What not to carry at JEE Main Exam Centre 2024? 

Candidates must not carry Instrument/ Geometry/ Pencil box, Handbag, Purse, any kind of Paper/ Stationery/ Textual material (printed or written material), Eatables and Water (loose or packed), Mobile Phone/ Ear Phone/ Microphone/ Pager, Calculator, DocuPen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Camera, Tape Recorder, to wear/carry any type of watch including Electronic watches with facilities of calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices in exam hall.
