United Institute of Technology launches state-of-art incubation centre to help startups
AKTU Vice-Chancellor Pradeep Kumar Mishra inaugurates the United Incubation Hub, praises UIT management for promoting the flagship programme of the Government of India.
To promote Government of India’s flagship programme ‘Startup India’, United Institute of Technology in Prayagraj has established a state-of-the-art incubation centre called the United Incubation Hub (UIH) to help startups. The centre was inaugurated by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) Vice-Chancellor Pradeep Kumar Mishra.
While addressing the gathering, AKTU Vice-Chancellor Pradeep Kumar Mishra praised the management for setting up a high-class incubation centre with advanced facilities and infrastructure to promote the flagship programme of Government of India. Jagdish Gulati, Vice-Chancellor of United University (UU), Prayagraj, expressed his gratitude towards the VC for his maiden visit to the campus. Addressing the students, Gulati appealed to them to avail of the benefit of the incubation centre at large.
Shivesh Gaur, chief executive officer, UIH, said the centre will not only provide physical incubation facilities but also extend online facilities to those living in remote areas to help them start their own businesses.
A ‘Local Startup Meet’ was also organised at the college auditorium in collaboration with entrepreneurship cell of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. Established in 2007, United Institute of Technology, Allahabad, is one of the constituent institutes under United Group of Institutions, Allahabad. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to AKTU. UIT Allahabad offers full-time undergrdauate and postgrduate courses in the stream of engineering.
