GATE 2022 Latest Updates: Admit Card release postponed again, new date likely soon

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has postponed the release of GATE admit card 2022 till further notice. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on February 5, 6, 12 and 13, 2022. Stay tuned for the latest updates related to GATE 2022. 

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has postponed the release of the hall ticket for GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) 2022 till further notice. Students will be needed to enter their login credentials to download the GATE admit card 2022 whenever the same will be available. There is no change in the GATE 2022 exam dates and are scheduled to be conducted on February 5, 6, 12, and 13, 2022.

Steps to download GATE 2022 admit card 

• Visit  GATE official website- gate.iitkgp.ac.in   
• Click  on the link “GATE 2022 admit card” 
• Login window will appear on the screen. 
• Enter  enrollment  ID and password in the space  provided 
• Click  on the “Submit” button 
• GATE  admit card 2022 will appear on the screen. 
• Download the GATE 2022 admit card and take a printout for future reference.

GATE 2022 exam dates remain unchanged

There is no change in GATE 2022 exam dates. However, due to the rapidly growing cases of COVID-19 and Omicron in India, there are chances that the GATE 2022 exam will be postponed to any further dates. However, no official notification has been released in this regard.

Will GATE 2022 be postponed?

With the delay in the release of the GATE 2022 admit card, it is likely that the exam may also get postponed. Students are already raising their voices regarding the GATE 2022 postponement due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases across the country. However, no official notification has been released by the IIT Kharagpur regarding the GATE 2022 exam postponement.  As of now, the GATE 2022 exam is scheduled to be conducted on February 5, 6, 12 and 13.

GATE 2022 Admit Card Postponed

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, has postponed the release of the GATE admit card 2022. As per the new dates, GATE admit card will be released on January 7, 2022. The exam conducting authority has released an official notification saying, “Candidates can download Admit Card from January 07, 2022.”

GATE is a computer-based test (CBT) conducted every year for admission to postgraduate engineering (ME/MTech) and research programmes. The entrance exam is jointly conducted by either the Indian Institute for Science, Bangalore (IISC Bangalore), IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, or IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee on a rotational basis. Students who seek to get admission in postgraduate programmes and jobs in PSUs can also take GATE.
