BHU, Competitiveness Mindset Institute Collaborates for Ethical Leadership Training
Banaras Hindu University has collaborated with the Competitiveness Mindset Institute for ethical leadership for BHU students. Besides, the vice chancellor inaugurates the FLY senior programme for top leadership of the university.
Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has initiated ethical leadership for BHU students. The training would be in collaboration with the Competitiveness Mindset Institute and aims to foster leaders who are not only skilled and knowledgeable but also aware of ethical principles and social responsibilities. BHU is committed to offering holistic development for students and new initiatives are taken to inculcate in students qualities and skillsets. The Finding Leader in You Scholar (FLY Scholar) program is one of the initiatives where over 1300 students have received the FLY training ever since it was introduced. The interactive and activity-based program includes various areas key to leadership.
Banaras Hindu University on Saturday inked a Memorandum of Understanding with the Competitiveness Mindset Institute to teach and build the Big Five Competitiveness non-cognitive skills to students to improve the effectiveness and performance of the students. As part of the MoU, students will also be offered training to develop advanced communication skills over a period of three years. This will further help in building the foundation of ethical leadership among students.
The university has already established the FLY training program across faculties for the academic session 2024-25 where three cohorts are underway in Mahila Mahavidyalaya, the Faculty of Social Sciences, and the College of Nursing, with 120 participants active.
