Central University of Haryana gets design patent for viscometer

The University has also been awarded a design patent by the office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks, Government of India for this achievement.

Faculty member of the Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh has made the novel design of a viscometer for measuring Nano gel viscosity. According to the official statement released by the University, it has also been awarded a design patent by the office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks, Government of India for this achievement. Dr Sumit Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University and his research group have done this remarkable work.

The Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Tankeshwar Kumar congratulated Dr Sumit Kumar and his team and said that this innovation will prove to be very helpful to the society. Our aim is to work for the society make people aware about innovations.

In this regard, Dr Sumit Kumar said that his team has made the novel design of a viscometer for measuring nano gel viscosity. The novelty resides in the shape and configuration of viscometer. He said that as far as the viscometer design is concerned, it plays an important role in handling & operation of the equipment. The simplest the design of the equipment more easily it will be handled and portable. Professor (Dr) Neelam Sangwan, Dean, School of Interdisciplinary & Applied Sciences and Dean, Research congratulated Dr Sumit Kumar for this achievement. Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Head, the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences appreciated the continued efforts made by Dr Kumar.
