The UGC in a statement said “CUET is an online computer-based test (CBT) for admission to colleges and universities. All educational partners, institutes, colleges and universities are urged to support UGC and NTA in this national duty.”

CUET 2023: UGC urges varsities to support Commission, NTA in holding entrance exam starting May 21

CUET UG 2023: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has urged the universities and colleges to support the commission and the National Testing Agency (NTA) in smoothly conducting the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2023. The CUET UG 2023 is set to begin on May 21 and will end on May 31. The NTA has also reserved June 1 to June 7 for CUET UG in addition.  

The UGC in a statement said “CUET is an online computer-based test (CBT) for admission to colleges and universities. All educational partners, institutes, colleges and universities are urged to support UGC and NTA in this national duty.”

This year, over 200 universities have adopted for the CUET UG 2023 for admission to undergraduate programmes so far, up from 90 universities last year. The 206 universities include 44 central universities and 33 state universities including Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Dr B R Ambedkar School of Economics Karnataka, Cluster University of Jammu, Cotton University Guwahati Assam and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Delhi.

The exam pattern has also changed in terms of the total number of questions as well as the number of questions to be attempted. According to NTA, some of the subjects with a high number of applications will be conducted in three shifts.
