CUET UG 2022: 98% aspirants to get exam centre in their chosen city, says UGC Chairman
NTA is an official notification had announced that the CUET 2022 exam dates have been revised and will now be conducted from July 15 to August 20, 2022. Earlier, it was scheduled to be held from July 15 to August 10, 2022.
University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Jagadesh Kumar has announced that at least 98 per cent of candidates who will be appearing for the CUET 2022 exam centres in the city of their choice. The announcement comes in wake of grievances raised by the candidates about the delay in the release of CUET 2022 admit card.
He further clarified that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the CUET admit cards 2022 for phase 1 will be issued today; i.e. July 12, 2022 and phase 2 will be released on August 4. NTA is an official notification yesterday announced that the CUET 2022 exam dates have been revised and will now be conducted from July 15 to August 20, 2022. Earlier, it was scheduled to be held from July 15 to August 10, 2022.
"The admit cards have been released four days prior to the examination due to security reasons and in order to avoid any malpractice in the exam. Students should not get worried,” Kumar said, as reported by news agency. “At least 98 per cent candidates will get the centre in the city of their choice. Those who do not find the allotted centre feasible can reach out to NTA which will entertain their requests," he said.
Over 11 lakh candidates have registered for the first phase of CUET 2022 exam. "Over 14 lakh candidates have registered for the exam which will be conducted across 500 cities. It is a mammoth task and NTA is a professional exam conducting body. The students should not get worried," Kumar said.
Steps to download the CUET admit card 2022
Candidates can follow the simple steps given below to download the CUET admit card 2022:
- Go to the official website of NTA CUET; i.e. cuet.samarth.ac.in
- Click on 'Download Admit Card’
- You will get the login option
- Enter the application ID and password or date of birth
- Click on Sign in
- CUET admit card will be displayed on the screen
- Download the admit card
Note: Candidates must check all the information given on the admit card and keep a copy of the admit card in hand until the admission process is complete.
