Considering the ongoing pandemic situation and increasing novel coronavirus cases, Delhi University has decided to conduct the entire admission process virtually, i.e. via online mode.

DU Admissions 2021: The University of Delhi (DU) is likely to commence the admission process to various undergraduate (UG) courses for the academic session 2021-22 by July 15. The update regarding DU Admissions 2021 was shared by Rajeev Gupta, Chairman DU Admission. Considering the ongoing pandemic situation and increasing novel coronavirus cases, Delhi University has decided to conduct the entire admission process virtually, i.e. via online mode. However, the authority has also confirmed that the University will begin the DU Admission process for an academic semester 2021-22 once the Boards results are announced.

Candidates interested in DU Admissions 2021 must note that they will be given sufficient time to complete the formalities. There are about 70,000 seats for UG courses in 60 colleges of DU. The admission process will begin after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announces CBSE Class 12 results. The University will also consider the release of Class 12th results of other state boards.

Meanwhile, DU has decided to go ahead with final exams starting June 7 despite facing opposition from students. While talking to a reputed media platform, DU  stated that it will give an extra chance to those who are unable to take them on account of COVID. According to the officials in the exam branch of the university, the decision is in accordance with University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines issued last year. Last year, UGC asked universities to give an extra chance to those who are unable to appear for exams because they stay in containment zones and are unable to access the internet or printing/scanning services to write and send back their papers.

Considering that the situation this year is far worse in light of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, the university has decided to extend the provision to this academic session as well.
